Pearl Construction, Đakovo Cathedral of St. Peter, which was built between 1866 and 1882, did not stop to wonder and admire from the very beginning of construction. In it he spent seven million bricks from the brick factory of the Dakovo diocese and the stone is delivered from the various European countries. Strossmayer Cathedral was built in a mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles, and still are the contemporaries called 'monster art' '.
Đakovo is proud of many important cultural events, among them the Đakovo Embroidery. It is now well known and well established manifestations of traditional folk folklore with a long tradition of 45 years. Every July ĐAKOVO passing parade participants in elaborate costumes. Đakovački berths are the most important festival of the Croatian folk creativity that brings together tens of thousands of participants.
State Lippizaner Horse Farm was founded by the bishop and one of the oldest in Europe. In 1972, the paddock was visited by Queen Elizabeth II. Đakovački Lipizzaner horses for centuries connected with the Slavonian country and people.
The city also boasts a rich gastronomy, whose '' branding '' carried out by the various food festivals, and strives to preserve traditional crafts through specialized trade fairs.
